I discovered Walter’s program right before my 57th birthday. During the holidays, I had reached my heaviest weight ever at 146 lbs, and I had also slipped into the pre-diabetes range. I knew I had to get into better shape but didn't know how to start.
My job in tech kept me in front of a computer screen for 10-12 hours a day, making it hard to manage my health. I managed to get down to 142 lbs on my own, thanks to my treadmill, but I felt frustrated and uninspired. I had been stuck above 140 lbs for a long time.
Then I stumbled upon a posting for Walter’s bootcamp and decided to give it a try. WOW, what a difference it has made in my life! I lost 14 pounds in three months through his program—I’m now 128 lbs and fitter than ever. I’m thrilled!
Here’s what I particularly love about Walter’s program:
Variety of Workouts: My whole body is stronger now because Walter switches up the cardio, abs, and weight training. There’s enough consistency to make me feel comfortable with a routine but enough variety to target all muscle groups and keep me from feeling bored.
Convenient Class Recordings: I’m in the San Francisco Bay Area, so early EST bootcamp isn’t feasible for me. However, the recordings are easy to fit into my schedule, and I can keep up with workouts while traveling.
Walking Challenges: This is a biggie for me. I’m competitive, and being motivated by others is super helpful. Instead of sitting for long periods, I now get up more often to fit in extra steps to stay ahead in the competition. This has developed into a healthy habit—now my body naturally wants to move more.
Sense of Community: Even though I can’t join live classes often, I still feel like I’m part of a supportive community. The walkers keep me inspired, and people sharing their stories motivate me to keep moving.
Encouragement to Eat Cleanly: I couldn’t have lost the weight without maintaining a (mostly) clean diet. Walter encourages a commitment to clean and smart eating, which has been essential for my weight loss.
Walter’s Awesome Attitude: I always look forward to the positive vibes from a Walter bootcamp session. His well-timed nudges and various challenges keep me moving forward and reaching further than I would on my own.
I’ve signed up long-term with Walter, and it feels so good to know that I’ll be staying healthy from now on, rather than worrying about gaining weight again. This program has been a game-changer for me!
